A Meta-List of Post-Election Lists

If you've been on Facebook in the weeks after the election, you may have seen some lists and guides for how to respond from a place of love and justice. Here are a few of the popular lists that are getting prepared and shared by Unitarian Universalists:

Post-Election Soul Food - Started by UU minister Rev. Cathy Rion Starr, this has become a crowd-sourced list of stories, songs, readings and meeting structures.

Indivisible: A Practical Guide for Resisting the Trump Agenda - This guide was created by former Congressional staffers, and offers invaluable advice for how to effectively influence your member of Congress.

LGBTQ Youth Survival Guide, Trump Edition - Authored by Evin Carvill-Zeimer, on staff at the UUA Central East Region, this post includes six suggestions for youth who identify as LGBTQ.

5 Things to Do in the Wake of Trump’s Victory - Opal Tometi, one of the founders of the Black Lives Matter organization, shares five crucial strategies on video via Mic.

SURJ Readings to Spark Reflection - Showing Up for Racial Justice, which organizes white allies, provides background reading in a range of areas, from organizing and campaigns to anti-racism and stories from immigration rights victories.

Beacon Press Post-Election Reading List - From our friends at Beacon Press, an indispensable reading list of powerful authors and luminaries to inspire action and learn from history's lessons.
