Defend People Who Migrate: Demand a Clean Dream Act NOW

This week, Love Resists activist networks and partners are mobilizing thousands of people to call on Congress to make a clean Dream Act and permanent residency for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders a reality across the United States.

Right now, young people who would have qualified for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and been able to continue building their lives at home in the United States are being picked up by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents and threatened with deportation. As each new TPS deadline passes, thousands lose their protected status and are forced return to countries they no longer call home. Each day Congress delays action on these issues, lives are in danger.

Members of the Love Resists team along with All Souls Unitarian Church and other area Unitarian Universalists will be joining events in Washington, D.C., to show solidarity with our immigrant community members. We encourage you to learn more about the planned events below and to join us in reminding Congress that immigrants are welcome and #HeretoStay. No matter where you are, we need you to join in the call!
