Join Religious Education (RE) teams from other congregations and let UUA Congregational Life Regional Staff help you kick off your RE year!

You’ll learn what's working in other congregations, common challenges, and strategies to help your program thrive sustainably, building from where you are today.

Gather your team — professional Religious Education staff (if any) and RE lay leaders — for live, online facilitated gatherings to get aligned and set intentions for the purpose, goals, and activities of your RE program in a changing, unpredictable world.

Congregations and RE programs of any size, lay-led or professionally-led, are warmly welcome to participate.

RE Kickoff registration includes:
• Pre-work to help you engage with some of the latest thinking on what’s working in RE and skills and printable tools to approach planning in times of change, available in September.
• Two live, interactive Zoom sessions in October. Each session is two hours long. You can choose to attend Thursday evenings or Sunday afternoons. During the live sessions, you will have time to engage with team members from other similarly-sized congregations as you work on case studies and creative problem solving.
• Tools for a follow-up, self-directed planning session, which you can use in your congregation on your own schedule.

• Updated pre-work information: Pre-work will be sent out to all registered participants mid-September, to work on at your own pace.

The RE Kickoff is designed for program leaders to do together: RE teams that include staff member(s) and lay leaders, or RE teams of all lay leaders in congregations without a religious education professional. If you are signing up as a team (several people from the same congregation), you will each need to register: please choose the same date option and indicate your congregation when prompted, since you will sometimes be placed in breakout rooms to accomplish work together. The webinars will be offered in two sessions:

Sunday, October 6th and October 13th, 4-6PM ET / 3-5PM CT / 2-4PM MT / 1-3PM PT.

Thursday, October 10 and October 24th from 7-9PM ET / 6-8PM CT / 5-7PM MT / 4-6PM PT.
