Faithful International Engagement Workshop: How Unitarian Universalist Congregations Meet the World
Faithful International Engagement Workshop
General Assembly, International Engagement & Building Peace, International Opportunities

Exploration of the history, theologies, and opportunities that define our global faith is a valuable experience for Unitarian Universalists to undertake. Congregations, groups of congregations, and individuals are invited to make use of a Faithful International Engagement Workshop as a tool for studying, planning, and developing ministries of international engagement.

The full workshop includes four sections:

  1. A sketch of the past, present and future of Unitarian, Universalist, and UU international engagement explored via video and discussion
  2. An exploration of the theological grounding of faithful international engagement.
  3. An overview of effective UU congregational international engagement ministries and available resources.
  4. Strategic planning for international engagement.

In a half-day or full-day setting, additional community building and worship elements can be added to the workshop. Or this workshop can be adapted to a multi-session model of 4-6 meetings. Please international [at] uua [dot] org (subject: Faithful%20International%20Engagement%20Workshop) (contact the International Resources Office) to discuss the most effective adaptation of this faithful international engagement workshop for your congregation. A staff member from our office would be glad to visit your congregation to lead a workshop or consult with you about offering the workshop with your congregation's own leadership.
