The UU-UNO announces its 2011-12 Blue Ribbon Congregations
Each year, the Unitarian Universalist United Nations Office awards its most supportive congregations with blue ribbon status. To achieve this coveted status, a congregation must fulfill the following criteria:
  • Have an Envoy, Youth Envoy or Envoy Team
  • Conduct an annual UN Sunday service or event
  • Have 5% of the individuals in the congregation (or 15 people for congregations of 300+ members) contribute to the UU-UNO
  • Make an annual commitment of a budget line or collection plate to the UU-UNO
Our five Canadian Blue Ribbon Congregations were honored last month during the Canadian Unitarian Council's 2012 Spiritual Leadership Symposium in Toronto, ON. On Thursday, June 25th from 6:30-8:00pm the UU-UNO will honor its American Blue Ribbon congregations during the annual reception at UUA General Assembly in Phoenix, AZ.
