Upcoming Holistic Climate Solutions Summit

Next week’s Holistic Climate Solutions Summit , in alignment with Climate Week NYC, is being organized by the Tzu Chi Center For Compassionate Relief together with 30 co-organizing partners including the UUA Office at the United Nations. The Summit is a solutions space, modeling a better future by showcasing the tremendous and innovative actions that are possible when hope, optimism, and action converge with community, love for all sentient beings and respect for the planet.

We know there is much to do in the midst of our climate crisis, too much for any one person or group to do alone. This is why we at UU@UN are committed to building partnerships for advocacy and action. We encourage you to join as much of this conference as you can, and to share with your networks.

If you will be in-person, look for an upcoming blog post inviting you to a special event.

The UUA Office at the UN has been working with the Tzu Chi Center For Compassionate Relief since 2014, when our relationship was solidified working together at the Paris Climate Conference. The Tzu Chi Foundation works in over 100 countries around the world.

Our partners at the Tzu Chi Center were also grateful to learn of the UUA’s 2011 Statement of Conscience on Ethical Eating: Food & Environmental Justice. This has been a core tenant of their work, and of course an important part of UU action towards addressing the climate crisis. More than 10 years later, it is good to remember this vital statement.
