United for Climate Justice Panel
Type of event: Meeting
Please join and Jan Dash, Vonda Brunsting at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 10th for a panel discussion on the intersection of climate change and social justice. Climate change is an issue that impacts everyone. This panel is about finding ways to coordinate action between activists on one hand, and policymakers, scientists, and economists on the other.
Dr. Jan Dash holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of California, Berkeley and has thirty years of experience in quantitative finance and risk management. He is the editor of the UU’s online Climate Portal and the forthcoming Encyclopedia of Climate Change and Finance, Economics and Policy.
Vonda Brunsting is currently the Program Manager at the Just Transition Project, a branch of Harvard University’s Initiative for Responsible Investment. She holds an AM in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. Her activism includes working as a community organizer in New York, Chicago, and Boston, and advocating for industry leaders to be mindful of stranded communities and workers as well as stranded assets.
The discussion will be moderated by Roy Meredith, the UUA Climate Justice intern and an MSW candidate at Columbia University.
Please RSVP by sending an email to unintern [at] uua [dot] org with "Attn: Climate Justice Panel" in the subject line.
