Grassroots women’s leadership is vital to achieving gender equality and to developing resilient, sustainable communities. This panel will include women who have helped implement gender-responsive, locally driven programs in Bolivia, India, and Romania. They will showcase initiatives that focus on empowering vulnerable girls and women to gain knowledge and skills through trainings, to increase access to services and employment opportunities, as well as to promote sustainable options in rural communities. They will illustrate good practices which have worked and also discuss remaining challenges.
