Dear Friends:

I'm delighted to announce the continuation of our Association's well-received national marketing campaign! The second phase of the campaign includes two more ads in Time Magazine, the most widely read news magazine in the United States, with over three million subscribers and twenty-one million readers.

The first ad runs in the April 14th issue, arriving at newsstands April 4th. This is a new full page ad, with the thought-provoking headline "When in Doubt, Pray. When in Prayer, Doubt." This ad includes an offer for a free copy of our popular DVD "Voices of a Liberal Faith."

The May 12 issue of Time (available on newsstands May 2nd) is the highly popular "Time 100" issue. It carries the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) ad with the headline, "My God is Better Than Your God," a version of which ran in the Time December 31st "Person of the Year" issue. This full page ad will also include the free DVD offer. The "Time 100" issue features one hundred people whose power, talent, or moral example help transform our world. It's one of the most heavily read issues of the year and it's the perfect context for our ad.

The UUA's national advertising campaign is supported through the generosity of Unitarian Universalist congregations who contributed to last fall's groundbreaking Association Sunday. I again extend my warmest thanks to everyone who contributed. I have been inspired by the outpouring of support at all levels for our new outreach efforts. Funds from Association Sunday earmarked for marketing are being used for the Time print ad campaign, as well as for an internet campaign that includes the Google Adwords program. A test Google Adwords campaign in the fall of 2007 attracted thousands of new visitors to and to our "Find a Congregation" page. has complete details of our ad campaign, including updated information, sample graphics, generic ads for congregational use, and hospitality and welcoming tools for congregations: National Marketing Campaign website.
