Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Eastern Slopes, Tamworth, New Hampshire: Breakthrough Congregation

General Assembly 2006 Event 2081 (Excerpt from Plenary II; video unfortunately not available)

The first Breakthrough Congregation to present was the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Eastern Slopes, Tamworth, NH. The Rev. Mary Giles Edes, founder Rod Forsman, Board President Ruth Hall, and director of religious education Joy Maidment presented the report which included a video presentation focusing on the common and recurring theme of genuine invitation. Members of this congregation routinely invite people to be part of the congregation, through radio, newspaper, restaurants, and many other venues, and increased growth and vitality in the congregation has been the result.
