Natalie Gulbrandsen Ministerial Scholarship for International Studies

The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) is accepting contributions to support the Natalie Gulbransen Ministerial Scholarship Fund for International Studies in Natalie's memory.

Created by Natalie Gulbrandsen's children and friends, this fund honors the former UUA Moderator's commitment to strengthening international relations and developing a stronger world consciousness. Before her passing, Natalie was quoted as saying, "throughout my lifetime, cross-cultural relationships and experiences have deepened my understanding of being human and being religious. I am so honored to have my name associated with a fund that will further the cause of Unitarian Universalism in the world and which will strengthen the commitment of our ministers to the global community."

The scholarship will provide Unitarian Universalist ministers and theological students with meaningful exposure to developing countries, so that their ministries might be informed by an understanding of the nature and consequences of poverty and of the economic differential between nations and regions of the world. Funds will support projects of academic, interfaith or social justice natures.
