Warren Brown One technical consideration that you really want to address is audio. As I mentioned before, microphones work best when they're close to the sound that they're picking up. So if you're using a smartphone or a tablet, and it's 10, 15, 20 feet away from whoever is speaking, you are going to get a lot of background reverberation and ambient noise. And the sound is going to be very distant, and, and probably indistinct, and could be difficult for people to hear, particularly with certain voices. So there are a number of ways that you can address that. The key thing is to get the microphone as close to the speaker as possible. One thing, this little Mevo camera has special directional microphones, that does help that eliminate some of that ambient noise and reverberation. So that's if you go with one of these, this all by itself has some capability that improves the sound. Mevo also has an app called the Mevo audio app, which allows you to connect the Mevo to a smartphone, and you can put the smartphone up on the pulpit. And then the microphone on the smartphone is within just a couple feet of the speaker and sends the audio from the smartphone into the Mevo stream. And that's a good way to do it. If you if you go with the Mevo camera. So that's that's one option. Now, many churches have a sound system. And that's probably a little more elaborate than this one here, but I'm going to use this as an example. So you have a number of microphones, maybe you've got one or two wireless microphones, a lapel mic or a head mic, and maybe you've got, maybe a microphone on the piano or some on the choir or whatever. And that's all coming through your sound system, what you can do is tap into the sound system, and feed that directly into your stream. And when you do that all of those microphones are very close to the sound source. So you're going to eliminate all of the ambient noise and the reverberation that makes the sound indistinct. And it's really pretty easy. You probably, if you've got a sound system, you've probably got folks there that would know how to do this, you can plug the cable directly into the sound system. And then if you're using a laptop for streaming, you can plug that directly into your laptop. And then you'll, any sound that comes through the sound system is going to go into your stream. So you can have multiple microphones, you can have music microphones, anything that's coming through here is going to go through your your stream. And it's going to sound a lot better than using a distant microphone. One other thing you can do too, if you're doing something very simple, where you've just got your camera, say going into a tablet or a laptop, you can also plug the sound system into the external audio of your camera. And then the sound will come through the HDMI cable through the capture card, either into your laptop or your tablet. And that's another way to get direct sound into the system. Now, occasionally you'll find a laptop or tablet that does not have an audio input. What do you do in that case? Well, you may need one of these. And this is a audio interface. And basically you plug your mixer into the audio interface. And then the audio interface converts that sound into a USB signal that allows you to plug that directly into your tablet or your laptop. So that's another way to do it. For those of you who may not have a sound system, this is a good option. You can plug a couple of microphones into this. And you can use this as a basic two channel mixer. Say your the mic that you might have in a pulpit or a mic on a piano and mix those together and use that to get direct sound into your stream. So that's a, that's another option there. So Let's just say your mixer is way far away, and your streaming computer is, you know, 40-50 feet away and you don't want to run a wire. One thing that you can do if your church has an FM assistive listening system, that's the one of the systems that people with hearing loss use to help hear the services. You can use that receiver that they would normally plug earbuds or headphones into and you can plug it in to your computer and use that as a way to get the sound from the sound system into your laptop that you can use then for streaming. So that's a good way to do it. If you, if you, if your streaming computer isn't close to your mixing console. Again, the important thing is get that microphone close to the sound source and your sound is going to be greatly improved. People will be able to hear and understand much better.
