Carl Scovel

Widely renowned for his preaching, the Rev. Dr. Carl Scovel was pastor for more than 45 years, 32 of them at King’s Chapel, a Unitarian Universalist Christian church in downtown Boston. He was named minister emeritus at his retirement in 1999. His book, Never Far from Home: Stories from the Radio Pulpit, collects 100 of the five-minute sermons he recorded for a weekly radio program between 1979 and 1999.
