UUA President Rev. Peter Morales stands trial in Phoenix, Ariz., on Friday, July 29, for his nonviolent civil disobedience in opposition to anti-immigrant legislation in that state. Rev. Morales says he is 'proud to be president of a religious movement that calls all of us to stand on the side of love. I am proud of our Unitarian Universalist ministers and congregations in Georgia and Alabama who are at the forefront of opposing anti-immigrant legislation in those states. And I know all of us who stand on the side of love will have to make that stand again and again.'
