Faith Leaders' Letter on Government Shutdown
UUA President Rev. Peter Morales joined Unitarian Universalist Service Committee President and CEO William F. Schulz and more than 30 other interfaith leaders in denouncing the recent shutdown of the federal government. In their letter to Congress, the group affirms, 'As people of faith we find it morally irresponsible to blockade the process by which we provide for our nation's shared needs in a bid to force any individual legislative priority.'
