I appreciate the suggestion to use the Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin, especially in terms of its ease-of-use for attaching audio files to Services. But it doesn't seem to be integrating perfectly with the theme in all cases. When we use the [service-archive] shortcode (e.g. on our Past Worship Services page), each one displays the MediaElement.js player for the .mp3 file that's attached. Great. But when I click through to the individual Service post, no player shows up. Boo. From googling, it sounds like this is probably a case of the MediaElement.js code not being called properly in the footer -- so the HTML5 audio player never displays, and there's never a command executed to un-hide the backup Flash payer (which I can force to appear by changing the visibility of the player in my child theme's CSS, though it's a kludgy and inconsistent solution). But when I inspect the output code in my browser, I see a lot of calls to MediaElement.js files, so I can't tell what might be wrong there. This seems like it's probably an issue with something in the theme, maybe in the way the Services custom post type is implemented? Please advise!
