Guest In Your Pulpit - Rev. Alison Wohler

Rev. Alison Wohler has recently retired from the UU Society of Amherst, MA, as their Minister Emerita and moved to Columbus, OH, to be near her daughter and parents. In her life she has been a working scientist, an art gallery owner, and a UU minister. Alison identifies as a Religious Naturalist and often brings science into her services. She would love to come fill in for you some Sunday!

Titles of programs/sermons and a brief statement of content on each:

In addition to any topic around which you might want me to create a service, here are some popular sermons I have given lately in several locations:

  • What I Learned in Science Class
  • Wendell Berry's Questionnaire - on the topic of divestment from fossil fuels
  • Living With Uncertainty - quintessential UU identity
  • Living in a Frightening World
  • Freethinking Mystics With Hands - about the Tom Owen Towle book by the same name

I would be happy to help out with weddings and memorial services that may be more than your schedule can handle

Availability: Year Round and preferably within 200 miles of Columbus, OH, overnight hospitality on Saturday might be required depending on distance.

Fee arrangements: According to UUMA guidelines.
