Ilene Corina iis a nationally recognized speaker and educator on patient safety and specialize in developing care partnerships and support services to pull together communities to help someone who is in need and navigating the healthcare system. She started her nonprofit advocacy services with the support of her UU family on Long Island. Her expertise comes from years as a patient safety advocate and training in patient safety and specifically works with vulnerable populations such as people with disabilities, the transgender community and people with limited English. A sermon can be followed by a discussion on the congregations needs or as a discussion or program related to patient advocacy services. She specializes in unconscious bias.
