Unitarian Universalist Resume Building Workshop for Beginners: How do I put "Youth Group" on my Resume?

Session for high school-aged youth (15-18): 1 PM - 2 PM EST

See the session for college-aged young adults (18-25).

Resume Building 101 for Unitarian Universalist young people! In this workshop, we will learn the basics of creating a resume from scratch. If you have a resume that you want to improve and get feedback for, bring it!

Additionally, we will explore solutions to a common problem faced by Unitarian Universalist young folk as they pursue work opportunities: “How do I put “youth group” on my resume?”

If you attended a youth group, participated in a youth leadership committee, or attended cons, you probably used acronyms to describe the different jobs and tasks. How do you explain what YAC is? What about the Energy/Spirit/GHOST committee? And what about chaplaining? These leadership roles may offer valuable skillsets, but how do you communicate these ideas to a potential employer who isn’t familiar with the UU community?

This program is free.

This is part of our youth drop-in programming for the year and you must be registered for that to participate. All youth who are registered will be sent the zoom information. Register for drop-in programming.
