Middle School Justice Con Pittsburgh PA 418
Type of event: Conference
Join us for a spring Middle School CON with a justice theme! We'll explore social and environmental justice topics through hands on workshops, games, art and activities appropriate for 6th-8th graders. You can expect all the usual fun: touch groups, coffee house/open mic, dance, worship, etc; as well as some surprises!
Middle School Attendees should be in 6th, 7th or 8th grades or the home-school equivalent. There is NO pre-requisite that they have attended a CON in CER before.
High School Staffers should be in 9th-12th grades or the homeschool equivalent. High Schoolers interested in staffing should contact Shannon Harper at sharper [at] uua [dot] org prior to registering.
Capacity for this event is 50 youth and we need a 1:7 ratio of adults to youth. If the form is closed and we are not yet at the deadline, please contact the registrar (sharper [at] uua [dot] org) to be placed on the waiting list.
Fee: $25 per person ($20 for second family member, $15 for third family member).
You may pay by credit card when you register, however that will increase your fee by $1 per person. If you pay by check or cash, you must bring that with you to the con. No credit card payments on site.
If you are unable to pay the full registration fee and need a full or partial waiver you may request that on the registration form. You will be notified if your request is denied. Please bring your partial payment with you. Payment must be made in cash or by check made payable to UUA-CER. You cannot make a partial payment via credit card.
If this is your first conference, please read the Behavioral Expectations which describes our expectations of youth and adults attending youth events in the region and the CER Youth Event Procedures and Requirements. You will be asked about these documents in the registration process.
