Wednesday, June 13, 2018 - 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm EDT

Type of event: Webinar

Sponsor: Central East Region of the UUA

This orientation is specifically intended for those attending GA in person in Kansas City, rather than online.

The General Assembly is one of the largest gatherings of representatives of the congregations of the UUA, whether participating on-site in Kansas City or offsite in their home. Onsite attendees will have hundreds of opportunities to connect and learn--it is a lot to take in even if you've attended before. You can learn to take a small sip from the General Assembly firehose by attending an online GA Orientation session June 13th at 8:00 pm Eastern on our Zoom Platform.

Learn about some of the responsibilities of being a delegate, how to successfully be three places at once (a hint: you can't, don't even try, but you can get a recording afterwards), and maybe share some experiences you've had at a KC BBQ joint (has anyone explored one of the several vegan BBQ options in KC restaurants?) We'll have special information on tracking for UUs of color and also for congregations interested in exploring anti racism work.

This orientation is open to everyone, and especially appropriate to those attending GA for the first time.
