Small Numbers, Infinite Possiblities February Webinar
Type of event: Webinar
Sponsor: UUA Congregational Life Staff Group
A Year of Learning and Connection for Smaller Congregations
Brought to you by your Regional UUA Congregational Life Staff
We know that small congregations are sharing the Love and Grace of Unitarian Universalism with their people and their communities every day. We also know that small churches can be faced with big challenges. Together we can help small congregations reach toward their greatest potential.
February's topic is Being Beloved Community. Many people love smaller congregations because they like knowing everyone and being known. How can our congregations build on that strength? Offering an authentic welcome to newcomers, encouraging healthy relationships, and setting boundaries when some of the people that we love cause harm. (Invite your board, membership committee, committee on ministry, safety committee, & pastoral care committee.)
This webinar will be offered at 7 pm Eastern Time and repeated at 7 pm Pacific Time. Connection information will be emailed the contact person for each congregation registered 5-7 days before the webinar.
We recommend that congregational members gather together to watch the webinars together so you can discuss what you learned immediately following and participate as a team. If you are unable to do so then congregations may use multiple logins, but do be aware that we want to make sure every congregation is able to access the webinar by not taking up too many seats in the room. Video of the content of the webinars will be shared with the congregational contacts about a week following the presentation.
This webinar is part of a series with congregational registration for the entire series. Please visit the full information page for details and to sign up - but do make sure no one else in your congregation has done so before you do!
