The Gould Discourse will be presented by Rev. Margret A. O'Neall on "Transformers"

Rev. Dr. Margret A. O’Neall is an accredited interim minister serving our Unitarian Universalist churches in times of ministerial transition.   Margret came to intentional interim ministry following a 35-year career working in the public and private sectors, and her call to ministry follows her passion for the transformational process that individuals and organizations may engage in times of change. Margret has served interim ministries in Sarasota, FL, and Buffalo, NY, and currently serves in Schenectady, NY.

The Keynote Speaker is Rev. Sue Phillips, speaking on "Heresy, Hubris and the Future of our Faith"

Somewhere along the line, for a large swath of our people, "congregational polity" became conflated with congregational autonomy. Somehow our people started telling the story that Unitarian Universalist congregations are fundamentally independent, that above all else we value—and therefore protect—our freedom from outside interference. Rev. Sue's keynote will explore why independence sometimes trumps interdependence in our movement, and how the future of Unitarian Universalism depends on us reclaiming the radical covenant at the heart of our faith.

A former lay leader and parish minister, and current avowed congregational polity enthusiast, Sue serves as our Unitarian Universalist Association's (UUA's) Regional lead in New England. She is the creator of Unitarian Universalism's crowdfunding site FAITHIFY.
