Saturday, June 1, 2019 - 10:00 am to 4:00 pm EDT

Type of event: Celebration

Sponsor: Central East Region of the UUA, DRUUMM (Diverse & Revolutionary UU Multicultural Ministries), The Community Church of New York UU, New York, NY

Co-Hosts are The Rev. Dr. Hope Johnson and The Rev. Joseph Santos-Lyons.

As part of our faith journey as Unitarian Universalists, we are regularly challenged by the ways race and racism affect our lives, and our spirituality. We are creating space to build a community of care among UU People of Color as we take opportunities to explore deeper questions around race, culture and our religious values. UU People of Color are invited to gather for lunch and conversation. Let’s nurture new relationships, discuss the historical development of UU People of Color, anti-racism efforts as we learn more about what the community needs. Finally, we will identify some of our shared interests.

RSVP ideally by May 31, 2019 to:

  • The Rev. Dr. Hope Johnson at: hjohnson [at] uua [dot] org or  (917) 304-3048 or
