The Congregation and Ministers of First Unitarian Church of Baltimore (Universalist & Unitarian) cordially invite you to the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the preaching of the Baltimore Sermon “Unitarian Christianity” by William Ellery Channing of Boston, Massachusetts on May 5, 1819 in Baltimore.

First Unitarian Church of Baltimore (Universalist & Unitarian) commemorates when Rev. William Ellery Channing of Boston came the new Unitarian temple at the corner of Charles Street and Franklin Lane on May 5, 1819 to preach his Baltimore Sermon, “Unitarian Christianity,” later the most widely disseminated pamphlet in the United States before 1840.
We gather to celebrate this historic occasion, to rejoice in our grand fellowship, and to consider the future of our liberal and liberating faith.
All are welcome, free admission. A reception will follow in Enoch Pratt Parish Hall at 5:30 pm. Clergy and public officials are invited to gather at 3:30 pm to robe and process.
