Why a New Leadership School for Youth? River Rising

By Shannon Harper

What kind of leaders do[es] our faith and our planet need in a future that is as close as tomorrow? What does sustainable leadership look like when burnout and overwhelm are so prevalent? How do we equip youth with tools to see to their own physical and spiritual health and wellbeing as well as those of whatever communities they will be a part of?

As I’ve been designing River Rising Youth Leadership Experience I’ve been asking myself these questions and more. Through interactive play, story telling, spiritual practice, teambuilding, small group ministry and meaningful youth lead worship we’re going to answer these questions together. Check out this short 2 min video to see me expound on the shifts we’re making in how we see and support youth leaders.
