Looking for something to explain Unitarian Universalism to your visitors? Want some sort of outreach item you can give folks who ask about our faith?
UU World’s first “seeker issue” is designed specifically as an introduction to Unitarian Universalism. The 32-page magazine is an anthology of articles and photographs originally published in UU World and other sources, organized in four sections: Who We Are, What We Believe, How We Gather, and What We Do. Featuring Melissa Harris-Perry, Galen Guengerich, Gail Geisenhainer, Kendyl Gibbons, and more.
UU Leadership Institute Fall Semester Classes
The UU Leadership Institute is offering several Fall 2016 8-week courses for only $30 per course per semester. Courses have begun, but registration is open through October, so you can still sign up!
Along with Healthy Leadership 101 (recommended for all leaders) we are offering:
- Faithful Membership in UU Covenantal Communities with Connie Goodbread and Rev. Renee Ruchotzke
- UU History with Rev. Dr. Susan Ritchie
- Compassionate Communication with Rev. Dr. LoraKim Joyner
- Membership Ministry with Lori Emison Clair of UUAMP
- Spiritual Direction in Congregational Life with the Rev. Phil Lund
- Outreach and Growth with Carey McDonald and the Rev. Sarah Gibb Millspaugh
- The History of Social Justice Theologies in UUism with Rev. Dr. Susan Ritchie
- Revitalizing the Smaller Congregation with Rev. Megan Foley
- Adaptive Leadership with the Rev. Renee Ruchotzke

Meet The Staff: Shannon Harper, Youth and Young Adult Coordinator
Shannon Harper is new to Congregational Life Staff and the role of Youth and Young Adult Coordinator for the Central East Region. Previously Shannon served as the Director of Religious Education at Miami Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Dayton, OH as well as a consultant for the MidAmerica Region.
