Have you heard? There’s a new group at MVUC! Arts for Mother Earth. We’re an active branch of the Climate Action Team, an award-winning environmental initiative that is now long term. Our mission is to deepen MVUC’s love for and protection of all life on our planet, using creativity and the arts to spark changes. With this mission in mind, we’ve launched our fabulous new Climate Action Google Classroom.

Our classroom is a rich resource for parents, kids, religious educators, teachers, activists, budding activists – any and all who are interested in protecting and sustaining Mother Earth. Our site includes: coloring pages and puzzles; animal masks; plant-rich recipes; climate-friendly quilts and scarves; information about endangered species here in Virginia and MORE!

Parents and teachers looking for creative, engaging activities for children doing schoolwork at home will find helpful ideas for lesson plans, topics and projects relating to arts and the environment.
