Unitarian Universalists of Greater Pittsburgh will be hosting their multiplatform 9th Annual Assembly on November 12th with keynote Ms. Sydney Etheredge, and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania. The Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade limited access to health care for millions of people across the United States. Ms. Etheredge will be speaking to these challenges in our world and what can be done to meet them.
The Assembly’s theme is “Reproductive Rights and Justice" and will include worship, a panel discussion by area organizations, special music, and opportunities for connecting with UUs across the region. While member UU congregations and communities are encouraged to attend, the Assembly is open to all UUs everywhere.
The in-person Assembly is hosted by First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh and has maximum attendance for safety and to plan for how much food will be needed for meals. So register soon if you wish to be in-person. The cost is sliding scale. Register online if you would like to attend virtually or in-person .
