Faithfully Becoming: General Assembly in Pittsburgh, June 21 - 25, 2023

If you are interested in being a part of this year's General Assembly in Pittsburgh, PA and virtually, there are several options available to you.

What is GA? General Assembly (GA) 2023 is in Pittsburgh, PA, which is in our region! We invite you to join us June 21-25, 2023 in-person or virtually as best meets your needs. General Assembly is the annual gathering of Unitarian Universalists, where we conduct business of the Association, explore the theological underpinnings of our faith, and lean fully into our mission and principles. Please join us for this 5-day immersive experience where we participate in inspirational worship services and informative workshops, reconvene with friends and colleagues, and explore our bustling exhibit hall.

Do you like to sing? You can join the choir!
Each year a talented group of choral singers gathers to practice and perform for the General Assembly (GA) audience. Typically the choir participates in the Sunday Morning Worship and the Closing Celebration, and sometimes other events or hymn sings during GA. For many, singing in the choir is a key part of coming together as UUs at General Assembly.

General Assembly Choir registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. You must be registered for General Assembly to participate in the choir (you may register for choir first). This year, all GA Choir rehearsals will be multi-platform, to allow all choir participants to be included in the process.

Details and registration links can be found on the GA Choir Page.

If you have a project or program you'd like to share with others, consider a poster presentation!
Stories, initiatives and examples for inspiring work in Unitarian Universalism will be featured in the Virtual Poster Fair, available to GA registrants through the GA App. Selections will be made based on the quality of proposals, embrace of the theme, address equity and inclusion, potential to provide attendees with concrete and usable tools, and the balance needed to explore multiple identity-based and theological perspectives on the theme.

Poster sessions are virtual, and your documents and a video will be posted in the GA App. Deadline for submissions is March 15, 2023.

Details and the submission form can be found on the GA Virtual Poster Presentations Page.

Want to be part of the team that makes General Assembly happen? Volunteer!
GA Volunteers do everything from helping with on site registration, acting as ushers in the main hall for events, providing accessibility services as well as captioning and editing videos of workshops and working as tech support for online activities. You can be in person or virtual to volunteer.

As of today, while most on-site teams are full, off-site teams are still looking for volunteers. The deadline for submission is March 1 and they will notify you after that date if they have a position for you.
