The Only Constant is Change

Cristina Sanchis

Over the last month or so, readers of this blog have seen a post by Amy Kent about her promotion to Congregational Life as Executive Administrator and her transition out of the region October 1. Then you heard from Patricia Infante about her plans to retire the end of this year. We have one more transition to announce this week. Cristina Sanchis, who served the Joseph Priestley District as District Administrator for many years before becoming the Financial Manager of the Central East Region will be leaving us to move full time into the UUA's Finance Department.

For the past several years, Cristina has been working part-time for the Central East Region and part-time for the UUA Finance Department. Starting on October 1 she will be moving to full time in the finance department. Cristina will maintain and build upon the current responsibilities of her accounting role with Financial Services. This includes the financial management of the 24 Farnsworth building, Outside Trust Accounts, and the Building Loan program, along with managing Concur / Amex and other general accounting tasks.

As we often tell our congregations, the only constant is change. Rest assured, your Central East Region staff team is still here and still committed to serving the congregations in our region. Do know that we're re-organizing a few things to make sure all the things that Amy and Cristina did are covered, so you may be working on your events and projects with someone new. In some cases, that may be a temporary change, with a more permanent one coming later as we hire more staff and continue re-distribute some responsibilities.

If you are interested in working for the UUA, a great employer by the way, there are positions open!

Additional positions have been posted and you can view the full list at the UUA's Jobs Page.

While these Amy and Cristina are moving out of the Central East Region staff team, they are still part of the UUA team and will be around for you to see at General Assembly (in Pittsburgh in 2023!) or other UUA events and zoom meetings. Please join us in congratulating them in their promotions and wishing them success.
