We are going to focus on several different aspects of General Assembly over the next couple of months in this blog. This month we'll look at financial aid and volunteer options, registration and housing.

Registration

Registration is open for on-site and virtual participants. The different registration options are explained in this video.

In-person registration includes access to events scheduled to take place in Pittsburgh, as well as everything available to virtual registrants. Full virtual registration includes access to the GA app, as well as all on-demand programming, live webinars, and live-streamed events. In addition there is a business-only virtual option for those only wishing to participate in business matters. Rates are reduced for youth (under age 18). Do note that rates goes up for all categories on March 1 and again on May 15. You may switch your registration from onsite to virtual or virtual to onsite if needed.

New this year! Join our First Timers Caucus. If this will be your first ever in-person GA, use the promo code WELCOME to reduce your Adult in-person registration by $100. One hundred spots are available. Cannot be combined with other financial support promo codes.

Volunteer Opportunities

GA doesn't happen without our volunteers. We need folks doing all sorts of things from being chaplains, to editing and captioning videos, to staffing the registration check in tables and hanging banners at GA. Positions include on-site and virtual opportunities. Volunteers are also eligible for full funded GA registration. You must apply for volunteer positions, the deadline for applications is March 31. Financial Aid

General Assembly is dedicated to being accessible to the maximum number of attendees possible. Financial support to attend GA – virtually or in-person – is offered to those with need. These awards are funded through the generosity of General Assembly registrants via donations made during registration. Requests for financial support are fulfilled on a first-come, first serve basis. New funds may become available as donations are received. Note: A request for financial support does not guarantee an award. Watch the video to learn about the different options for GA discounts and financial support.

Housing

The GA Office has negotiated rates for two hotels near the convention center. This includes ensuring that accessibility and sustainability issues are addressed. Staying in the GA Block helps us meet our contractual obligations. The GA Housing Reservation System is now open!

Home hospitality is also in the works, but not yet finalized. If offered, typically this is local congregational members offering their homes for home stays as a fundraiser for their congregation. Travel is not usually included. Details on this will be posted in March to the GA website.
