Creating a Portfolio
Developed by Rev. Kirk Loadman-Copeland and Lori Ragona
Your portfolio provides a structured, integrating framework for all of your experiences, both practical and academic, that are part of your formation as a minister. It helps you assess your skills and strengths, and make decisions about what additional experiences would be helpful. The portfolio is also an integral tool in minsterial settlement, since the packet that a minister develops is, in essence, a portfolio.
This portfolio helps you to identify competencies. It asks you to:
- Identify to which ministerial competencies each experience, paper, project, etc. applies.
- Summarize each experience and reflect on its theological and/or ecclesiological implications and its application to ministry
- Identify how each experience has impacted your ministerial formation.
