Jennica Davis-Hockett

Jennica Davis-Hockett

Jennica Davis-Hockett lives in Salt Lake City and works for our UUA’s Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries as Youth Ministry Associate. She has served in youth ministry for about eight years and this will be her fifth Summer Seminary on staff! Her favorite thing about Summer Seminary is watching the transformation of individuals into a community as the week progresses. Jennica is an avid rock climber and loves canyoneering, she has an irrational fear of lighting things (like chalices) on fire in public, and you might catch her playing ukulele to herself if you’re lucky (or unlucky depending on what song she’s working on).

Kimberly Johnson

Rev. Kimberly Johnson

Kimberly Johnson is minister of the UU Congregation of the South Fork, on Long Island, NY. She spends her summer vacations doing youth programs, like Activate with the UU College of Social Justice and Thrive with the UUA. This will be her third Summer Seminary. What she likes most about Summer Seminary is experiencing the creativity, passion, and commitment that young people bring to our faith. Kimberly loves to read, bingewatch Netflix while she works, and if she thinks no one is paying attention, is probably singing.

Steven Leigh Williams

Steven Leigh Williams

Steven Leigh Williams is the Pastoral Care Chaplain at All Souls Tulsa, OK. He found his way to ministry doing youth programming in New Orleans, Tulsa, and at Southern Region camps and events. This will be his first Summer Seminary, and he is super excited! Youth are his favorite people, and he loves witnessing their creativity and growth in settings like this one. Steven is also a big theology nerd and will likely be spending faculty sessions trying desperately not to ask too many questions. He loves to read, and usually has several books going at once. In warm weather, you can usually find him sitting outside with his service dog Jack or hiking with his family, and in all weather, he is probably watching birds, squirrels, and other urban wildlife and saying “aww” a ridiculous amount.

Aisha Ansano

Rev. Aisha Ansano

Aisha Ansano is a recently ordained UU minister just wrapping up her ministerial internship at First Church in Boston, MA. She’s also spent the last two years working with the youth group at First Parish UU of Arlington, MA, including helping to plan and lead a service trip to Pittsburgh, PA. This will be her second Summer Seminary. Whenever people ask her about Summer Seminary she goes on and on about how amazing it is to get to be present as amazing young people start to discover their life calling. Aisha loves to read YA fiction and SciFi/Fantasy, strongly considered opening a catering business instead of this ministry thing, and loves the movie Moana so much she had a song from it at her ordination.
