Talking Up GA – Everywhere

We are taking an "all of the above" approach at the Unitarian Universalist Association to getting the word out about this year's Justice General Assembly in Phoenix, especially with youth and young adults. From June 20-24, 2012, thousands of UU's from around the country will gather in Arizona to engage with social and economic justice, and we want to ensure that there is a strong presence and voice of our UU youth and young adults. We younger folks bring a fresh perspective and renewed commitment to these issues that have engaged UU's for generations, and it's a fabulous opportunity for us to make our voices heard within our faith movement and broader communities. Here are a few things that the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries is doing to reach out:
  • GA Project for Youth and Young Adults - This is your "one-stop-shop" for all you need to know to prepare for and get to Justice GA. Programs, grants, scholarships and local info are all available here.
  • Social media - we continue posting updates on this blog, as well as on our Twitter feed (@yayauua) and our Facebook pages: UU Youth Ministry, Campus UUs, The Hub: Young Adult UUs.
  • Website - You can visit the Young Adult Caucus page, the Youth Caucus page or the general GA page to get more info on what's in store for this year's attendees.
  • Emails - GA updates come through our two email listserves for youth and for young adults, as well as other UUA listserves for members of LREDA, the REACH list for religious educators, and the youth advisor list.
And as always, email us at yayadirector@uua.org with any questions. Forward to Phoenix!
