Lead the Largest Gathering of UU Youth in the Nation

By Jennica Davis-Hockett

Apply to be the Jr. Dean of Youth Caucus Staff. An opportunity like this only comes along...well, once a year. But you have to be in high school for both years of the two year term to take advantage of it so it's really only 3 times in a lifetime! If you are selected, you will co-plan and attend General Assembly 2016 in Columbus, OH (June 22-26) and General Assembly 2017 in New Orleans, LA (June 21-25) and your expenses will be paid. Deans bring alive the purpose of Youth Caucus, which is:
to serve youth who want to become more involved in Unitarian Universalism and grow as Unitarian Universalists, including youth who want to be involved in the business of Unitarian Universalism.
Previous attendance at a General Assembly is strongly recommended but not required. Experience with multigenerational leadership teams is highly desired. To apply, submit your completed application which includes responses to written questions and an optional video, as well as contact information for two references.

Applications are due by 5 PM EDT, on August 5, 2015

Read what Owen Huelsbeck, Youth Caucus Dean 2013 & 2014 has to say about the experience:

"Being a Youth Caucus Dean introduced me to many leaders of our faith living Unitarian Universalist values in different ways.

These kind of people inspire me to love big and this constant reminder has made me feel at home, reinforcing my relationship to Unitarian Universalism.

You serve others by staying open and being authentic, which is a guiding reminder for how I want to live.
