Young Adult Spirituality & Service Program
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
The Unitarian Universalist Association’s (UUA's) Young Adult Spirituality and Service program is dedicated to supporting Unitarian Universalist (UU) young adults as they explore their religious identity through service. The Spirituality and Service program provides young adults with a multitude of resources to enable them to engage in transformational service work that expresses fundamental UU values of justice, equity and compassion. Through service, young adults can make meaningful changes in their communities and enhance their personal spiritual identity and formation. Spirituality and service work hand in hand, and we are committed to developing leaders and spiritual activists who can extend UU values to the broader world community.
Young Adult Service Directory
The Young Adult Service Directory highlights service organizations that offer domestic and international service opportunities. These organizations have been thoroughly researched by the UUA Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministries with the hope that any UU young adult can search, evaluate, and ultimately choose an organization that provides a suitable opportunity for them.
These resources are meant to help you effectively prepare for and engage in transformative service work. Click the link below to visit the Resources page:
Please contact us if you have any questions, would like to provide feedback, or if you are in need of consultation regarding a service trip.
In addition, contact us if you know of any resources (books, articles, curricula, etc.) that pertain to service work, spiritual growth, or leadership development that you feel would be of interest to UU young adults. We are always in search of resources that nurture the growth of young adults as they become responsible global citizens.
