Gini Courter

Gini Courter was initially elected Moderator by the UUA Board of Trustees in October 2003 and has since been reelected three times by the UUA General Assembly delegates, most recently in June 2009. The Moderator, a volunteer position, is Chief Governance Officer of the UUA. As Moderator, Gini chairs our UUA Board of Trustees and the plenary (business) sessions at our annual General Assemblies. She also meets regularly with national committees, regional groups, and leaders of Unitarian Universalist congregations across the country.

Prior to serving as Moderator, Gini served Unitarian Universalism in her congregation and the Heartland District, on committees and on the UUA Board, where she served as chair of the UUA Finance Committee. Gini's service as Moderator will end next June at the close of General Assembly 2013 in Louisville, Kentucky.

In her professional life, Gini is a partner in TRIAD Consulting (a woman-owned software consulting and training company), the author of twenty-nine books, and a nationally recognized speaker on software and collaboration.
