What is the status of the DPA with the UUA? Advisory? Advocacy?
The District Presidents Association (DPA) has significant influence on the policies and procedures of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). We work closely with the Trustees and UUA staff to ensure that programs meet the needs of congregations. We also serve as a communications link between districts and the association.
The DPA president is the designated “board observer” and attends all UUA Board of Trustees meetings and participates actively in appropriate working groups of the Board. The DPA president and/or vice president also participate in various task force and study groups related to districts and congregational services when asked.
