What is the purpose of the DPA?
In recent years the District Presidents Association (DPA) has served three chief functions. First, it helps district presidents share information and ideas about the job of being district president. Second, it is a communications channel between volunteer district-level leaders and the UUA, its Board and staff, and other key constituencies. Finally, the DPA has helped to coordinate and lead the examination of the potential of a regional approach in delivering services, as well as of the need for governance functions at a middle-judicatory level.
In 2001, the DPA adopted the following mission statement.
The DPA exists to be the voice and the ears for Unitarian Universalist (UU) district boards with the UUA Staff as well as for education and support of district leadership. Adopted 11/02/01
