The term of membership in the District Presidents Association (DPA) is from General Assembly to General Assembly (GA). At times this is confusing. In years when a new president is elected at a District Annual Meeting in April or May, that new president does not become a member of the DPA until the conclusion of General Assembly that year. In practical terms, the GA meeting of the DPA can and usually does accommodate two “presidents”—the one just elected and the past president from districts where there has been an election. About 1/3 of the DPA turns over every time we meet.
