WHEREAS, the continued pollution of our environment, the continued depletion
of our natural resources, and the continued decay of our rural and urban
societies, all increase with an insufficient public policy; and
WHEREAS, economic groups are using the issues of our "recession" to pressure
government to lessen already weak environmental controls to stimulate the
WHEREAS, government on all levels must help solve our long-term environmental
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the 1977 General Assembly of the Unitarian
