Ed and Madeleine Eckert

Wonderful World

Don’t know much about history
Don’t know much theology
Don’t know much about sacred books
Don’t know much about the Greek I took

But I do know I love UU
And I know that if you love it too
What a wonderful world it would be

Don’t know much about philosophy
Don’t know much mythology
Don’t know much about gospel books
Don’t know much of Latin that I took

But I do know I love UU
And I know that if you love it too
What a wonderful world it would be
Now you don’t have to preach a long sermon
‘Cause it’s easy to see
That this is a church where you are encouraged
To set your mind and spirit free!
I have got no apology

Don’t know much cosmology
I know lots that can’t come from books
Or attending classes that I took
And it all seems so plain to see
That it comes down to you and me
Making UU all that it can be!

(Slower)
And it all seems so plain to see
That it comes down to you and me
Making UU all that it can be!
