Sadly, our society has not yet matured to the point where the State will legally recognize a marriage between women or between men. However, forasmuch as _________ and ________ have freely consented to this ceremony of union & have witnessed the same before this company; have pledged themselves each to the other & have declared the same by joining hands & exchanging rings, I, ministering by the authority vested in me by the Unitarian Universalist Association & my ordaining church, do hereby pronounce them Life Partners.
