Preparation for Activity
- Be sure that participants have made nametags. If some have not, pass around nametag materials before participants introduce themselves.
Description of Activity
Gather participants in a circle. Introduce the activity with these or similar words:As we take turns calling out our names, let us recognize how each person brings to our gathering his/her unique experiences and aspirations. Let us also recognize how much we learn from one another.
Mindful that our religious heritage has championed individual uniqueness and worth, let us as we call our names into the gathering, hold each person's potential to give his/her gifts and talents to the service of life and to this gathering.
Invite participants to take turns saying their names slowly and clearly. If you are using a microphone, pass it to the first participant.
Including All Participants
