Adults Seeking Spiritual Growth
The Unitarian Universalist (UU) tradition upholds each person's independence in determining what to believe, and calls us in to community to foster depth, meaning, and greater service.Adult religious education programs embody the transformational, self-directed learning that lies at the heart of Unitarian Universalism. Unitarian Universalism helps adults use their own personal stories to share their religious journeys; explore fundamental religious questions and theological concerns; build relationships with others; explore moral and ethical questions from a liberal religious perspective; and become familiar with the foundations of our liberal religion.
Adults deepen their faith through participation in Unitarian Universalist worship and in congregation-based programs for adults. These include workshops, discussion groups, identity groups, and small group ministry. Further, adults grow as Unitarian Universalists by teaching others: children, youth, and adults. These experiences promise to enrich the lives of individuals and of the congregation as a whole, bringing us towards meaningful and beloved community with each other and with the world.
