Identity-Based Resources for Youth

Unitarian Universalist (UU) ministries strive to make our faith a more welcoming, inclusive, empowering, and just faith for all. See below for youth specific, identity-based resources.

  • Queer Resources for Youth
Links to online resources and events about sexual/affectional orientation and gender identity for youth and their families; youth with parent(s) who identify as such; and those who work with them.

Educational Materials for Groups

  • Workshops for Youth on Identity-based Topics
One-hour workshops for youth, each with an animated video and a discussion guide. Topics include Ethnic Identity Formation, White Identity Formation, Gender and Sexual Orientation, and Support for Youth Struggling with Addiction.
  • Be the Change! Project
Offers Unitarian Universalist youth a starting place for discussions about the role of race, identity and justice in living out their faith. The core of the project is a six-session, nine-hour training program that can be used by groups of different sizes. Also includes additional activities, further links and resources, and an online community to support groups engaging with the project.
