Events and Trainings for Youth
There are many events and trainings that offer the opportunity for youth to gather with one another. If you are looking for advisor training opportunities, please visit Youth Advisors.

- Summer Seminary
Summer Seminary is a program for Unitarian Universalist youth exploring the possibility of becoming a religious professional. Focusing on ordained ministry and religious education, the program offers youth the opportunity to explore their call, experience facets of life as a religious professional, and connect with other youth considering ministry and religious education as career paths. This program is open to those in grades 10-12 or the equivalent for the 2012-2013 school year, including those who are bridging into young adulthood this spring and summer.
- Multicultural Leadership School
Designed specifically for youth and young adults of color (ages 15-30), this three and a half day school will feature experienced facilitators who will be intentional in providing participants with experiences that will foster relationship building, leadership skills, racial/ethnic identity development, inter-cultural collaboration and deepening of faith identity.
- National Youth Justice Summit
Run by the Unitarian Universalist College of Social Justice, the National Youth Justice Summit is an opportunity for youth to gather in Boston for a week of skill building, reflection, and service learning. - UUA Youth Involvement & Safety Guidelines (PDF, 17 pages)
Developed specifically for events hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), these guidelines document the procedures that UUA staff follow for including youth or minors in UUA groups and events.
- Participant Covenant for UUA Youth Events (PDF, 1 page)
This participant covenant is used for all Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) sponsored youth events and is signed by all participants (youth and adult). It sets forth the expectations of behavior at the event. Consider these elements when creating your own participant covenant.
Note that these procedures are specifically designed to address the UUA’s unique circumstances; each congregation or community should develop their own safety policies that reflect the laws in their jurisdiction and make their environments safe and welcoming for all. For a comprehensive process to do so, see "Safe Congregations."
