Webinars for Youth Advisors

Below is a listing of upcoming and archived webinars of interest to youth advisors wanting training, refreshers, and ways to expand their knowledge base and skill set. Webinars are great ways to learn from home or with other advisors in your congregation. This listing will be updated as new webinars are announced and old webinars are archived. Please note that not all live webinars are archived, so don’t miss your opportunity to attend.

Upcoming Webinars

These webinars will be offered live and may require registration. Some regions limit attendance to advisors in those geographic areas while others will open them to all if space is available. Please check with the individual hosts.

• Youth Ministry 102 Series: Presented by the Central East Regional Group (CERG), this monthly webinar covers a variety of topics in youth ministry. Check the CERG site for monthly dates and topics.
   
• Good News in Youth Ministry Series is a monthly webinar series hosted by the Pacific Western Region and open to all. Upcoming topics include Spiritual Maturity and Healthy Differentiation (October 11) and Youth/Adult Partnerships (November 14).
   
• Youth Ministry Coaching: A monthly Q&A coaching session for advisors and religious educators in the Pacific Western Region. Dates: October 24, November 28, January 23, February 20 and March 20. Topics include Safe Congregations (October), Small Group Ministry for Advisers, Supporting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Youth, Supporting Adolescent Development, Supporting Youth of Color, Youth and Addictions, and Radical Inclusivity for Youth with Special Needs.
   
• Queer and Transgender Youth Ministry: Part of the Continuing the Welcoming Congregation Series in the Pacific Western Region (scroll down the page), this webinar focuses on support for LGBTQ youth and is open to all. You need not attend others in the series, though you are welcome to do so. Next scheduled for December 18, 7:00 p.m. PST.

• Youth Ministry Updates Webinar for Religious Educators and Youth Advisors: This regularly held webinar (last held February 2013) presented by the UUA Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries covers new developments and resources in youth ministry.
