Events for Youth

The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries coordinates, sponsors, and provides support for several events for youth each year. The office defines youth as people who are of high-school age or the equivalent. Some events are for teams of youth and adults.

  • General Assembly Youth Caucus brings together all youth attendees of General Assembly.  Check here for information about youth at General Assembly (GA) including frequently asked questions about programming, housing and sponsors.

  • Chrysalis Trainings happen throughout the year and provide district and regional leadership opportunities for youth and adult youth advisors in five areas: leadership development, spirituality development, basic youth advisor training, advanced youth advisor training, and chaplain training.

  • Interfaith Leadership Opportunities: This year, thanks to a generous grant from the Shelter Rock Large Grant Fund, the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) has partnered with the Interfaith Youth Core to bring interfaith leadership and service opportunities to congregational teams of youth and adults.

  • Youth and Young Adults of Color Multicultural Leadership School takes place in Boston at the offices of the UUA. This leadership development training equips participants to be leaders in their local Unitarian Universalist (UU) congregation or district, better understand racial/ethnic identity development, foster inter-cultural collaboration and intentional relationship building. Travel and housing are paid for by the UUA. Click on the link above for the next training dates and application deadline.

  • For local events, you can contact your district. UUA districts often sponsor many events for youth.

Sign up to receive the "Youth Ministry Updates" monthly e-newsletter with announcements of upcoming events for youth.
